One Story, Many Possibilities: Daycare Teachers Level Up for Our Little Learners!

6 October 2026

It was the turn of Valenzuela City’s daycare teachers to sharpen their skills and explore new, child-centered ways to teach and nurture young learners.

On September 16, 2026, 150 teachers from all 91 daycare centers across the city gathered at the ALERT Multi-Purpose Center Hall for the Training for Daycare Teachers, led by Synergeia Foundation in partnership with Valenzuela City and its Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

Why Stories? Because Children Learn Best Through Wonder

The workshop centered on an integrative learning approach —a dynamic method that demonstrates how a single, well-chosen story can become a gateway to literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth, all at once.

Instead of teaching sounds, numbers, or values in isolation, participants explored how to weave these skills together through stories children love to hear, act out, and remember. From recognizing sounds and blending syllables to counting characters and discussing kindness, each story became a springboard for meaningful, joyful learning.

What Our Daycare Heroes Took Home

  • New ways to understand children’s unique personalities, behaviors, and needs
  • Practical strategies to guide young learners with patience, creativity, and care
  • Fun, story-based activities that build early reading, math, and friendship skills
  • Renewed inspiration to create safe, warm, and stimulating spaces where every child feels seen and valued

Because when our daycare teachers thrive, our little ones do too.

Thank you to our dedicated daycare teachers—your passion shapes the future of our community, one story, one smile, one child at a time.
